Augusta
Inspired by the Art Deco style, a mosaic of gold, soft green and emerald green unfolds as a carpet and friezes. This period saw a return to classical rigor after the volutes and organic forms of Art Nouveau. Motifs were simplified, reduced to figures influenced by cubist geometry and ancient Greek and Roman art. Green or yellow, combined with black and white, were particularly popular chromatic combinations. The name of the Augusta collection is a nod to the name given to the city of Limoges under the Roman Empire: Augustoritum.
