Malmaison
Malmaison is named after the castle which was the favorite holiday resort of the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and the Empress Josephine. Resolutely chic, its ornaments, openwork leaves and symmetry of the decorations, give a statutory imprint to the table and to all the moments that live there.
- Description
- A silver plated cheese tray in the Malmaison pattern. Included in the collection in 1967, Malmaison is THE Christofle Empire model. The Chateau de Malmaison near Paris was the favorite residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Josephine. The palm and lotus leaf frieze and the symmetry of the decoration are typical of the Empire style, which was largely inspired by Antiquity.
