Immersion into Moser’s World: The Legendary Czech Manufactory to Expand Partnership with Azerbaijan
On September 24, the Ambiance boutique hosted an event inspired by the history and aesthetics of the Czech crystal manufactory Moser and its collaborations with Azerbaijan. The event was held with the support of the Czech Embassy and Italdizain, the brand's exclusive partner in the country.
For over 160 years, the Czech manufactory Moser has epitomized the values of high craftsmanship in the world of crystal. Moser's crystal masterpieces, created using eco-friendly technologies excluding lead, represent elegance, high style, and unparalleled quality of skilled hand engraving, impeccable polishing, and expressive color palettes.
Distinguished guests of the event, including loyal customers of the boutique and influencers, experienced inspiring immersion into the world of Moser’s aesthetics. Demonstration of engraving on glasses by Moser’s engraver Roman Halupka, who arrived in Baku specifically to participate in this event dedicated to the Czech manufactory, became the jewel of the party. Guests received a unique opportunity to try their hand at engraving and create personalized items under the guidance of the master. The event was also attended by Moser's Regional Sales Manager Dmitry Zakharchenko and the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Milan Sedláček.
As part of the event, vases from Moser's exclusive collection dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev were demonstrated to guests. The overarching motifs of these unique pieces are the pivotal moments in Azerbaijan’s history, shaped by the decisions and actions of the head of state, with the preservation of the Republic’s independence being the most significant.
The Czech crystal manufactory, with its rich historical traditions, has established a reputation as the ‘Crystal of Leaders’: Moser's creations adorn the homes of royalty, heads of state, government leaders, and renowned figures in culture and art. In this sense, honoring the legacy of Heydar Aliyev was a symbolic and meaningful step for the brand.
Two handcrafted vases from the limited collection were showcased, each featuring intricate artistic details.
The design of the Yeni Dövr (New Era) vase, adorned with hand-engraved depictions of oil rigs, reflects the signing of an agreement known in Azerbaijan's history as the Contract of the Century – a contract for the joint development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, concluded between the State Oil Company SOCAR and world's leading oil companies. The Contract of the Century provided a powerful boost to the development of the country’s oil industry and contributed to Azerbaijan's growing role on the global economic stage.
The Gələcəyin Sədası (Echoes of the Future) vase was inspired by the architectural design of the Heydar Aliyev Center, built by the iconic London-based Zaha Hadid Architects. The building has gained a reputation as the new visual symbol of modern Azerbaijan, reflecting its drive for progress and impressive achievements in the fields of economy, social development, and culture. Heydar Aliyev himself was at the forefront of that period of revival, significant for the country.
The Yeni Dövr and Gələcəyin Sədası vases from the limited collection are demonstrated at the Ambiance boutique. To purchase them, please visit the boutique at 5A, St. 28 May, Baku, Azerbaijan.
