Derrick Gaz

Gaz Derrick by L’Epée 1839 is a kinetic table clock inspired by industrial gas extraction platforms. Hours and minutes are displayed on two separate dials shaped like pressure gauges. Powered by a new in-house movement with a 7-day power reserve, the mechanism is made of 281 components and fully assembled by hand in Delémont, Switzerland. The time is set using a burner-shaped crown at the top, while the movement is wound via a valve on the base — without visible openings. Featuring pipes, valves, pumps, and a central drilling axis, the piece captures the essence of industrial architecture in miniature. Released in two limited editions of 50 pieces each, in yellow gold or palladium finish, Gaz Derrick transforms mechanical engineering into collectible horological art.
