The Third Royal Collection Boutique in Baku’s Historic Quarter

On April 24, Italdizain presented a special gift to all admirers of fine watchmaking and high jewelry: the third Royal Collection jewelry and watch boutique was opened in a historic mansion at 3 St. Aziz Aliyev in Baku.

The event took the form of a cocktail party, welcoming representatives of the media, diplomatic missions, partner organizations, and Baku’s business and cultural communities. Music by DJ Inherroom set the party’s ambiance. The event’s key emphasis was the inspiring speech by the Chairman of the Italdizain’s Board of Founders, Elchin Zeynalov, who eloquently expressed the boutique's core philosophy of openness and continuity laying behind the Royal Collection. This idea was further brought to life through the boutique team’s engaging presentation about the venue’s concept.

The new boutique features collections by renowned Swiss watchmakers such as Omega, TAG Heuer, and Breitling, accessories by the iconic French brand S.T. Dupont, and jewelry by Italian Pasquale Bruni, Roberto Coin, Nanis, Leo Pizzo, and Utopia, French jewelry maisons Messika and Dinh Van, and the signature line by acclaimed British designer Stephen Webster. This refined selection is sure to inspire true connoisseurs of craftsmanship, captivate horology enthusiasts, and charm all who appreciate style, luxury, and impeccable taste.

The superior craftsmanship and exceptional quality of the legendary global brands showcased in the Royal Collection are perfectly complemented by the boutique’s location. The setting reflects the boutique's concept - an unbreakable link between generations and deep respect for cultural heritage. That is why Italdizain chose one of the most beautiful historic mansions of the capital of Azerbaijan to house its precious Royal Collection. This magnificent building, located at a street originally named Mikhailovskaya, later Zevin, and today known as Aziz Aliyev Street, was built in the 1890s.

Originally, it served as a tenement building belonging to one of the 19th century’s most prominent Azerbaijani oil barons, Sadikh Mashadi Mammad Zakiyev – the head of the M. Zeynalov & Co oil company, a public figure, and a member of the Baku City Duma. The businessman was not only engaged in oil extraction, refining, and export but was also a committed philanthropist who financed the construction of schools, hospitals, and mosques, and made major contributions to Baku’s economic development and infrastructure through his social standing and status as a Duma member.

This impressive three-story mansion, built in the eclectic style and featuring pilasters, ornate stucco, arched windows, open European balconies, and traditional enclosed Turkish-style kumbas, captures the spirit of Baku's prosperity during the oil boom era. The house has long enjoyed a special reputation as a residence for creative and influential figures, including opera singer Zeynab Khanlarova, pianist and composer Farhad Shamsi Badalbeyli, renowned cinematographer Khan Yusif Babaev, and diplomat Aziz Aliyev, after whom the street is now named.

Italdizain’s decision to open the Royal Collection boutique in this historic mansion was no coincidence: this “house with a story” perfectly symbolizes the interconnection of cultures and the continuity of generations – core principles of the Company’s philosophy. Jewelry and watch masterpieces, along with impeccable accessories by Europe’s most iconic brands, are displayed within the walls that once witnessed the birth and development of Azerbaijani entrepreneurship and have always upheld a deep appreciation for art, creativity, professionalism, and time-honored craftsmanship.

The Royal Collection boutique is located at 3 St. Aziz Aliyev, in the very heart of Baku’s historic center. The venue is open to all who value the artistry of fine jewelry, the precision of horology, and an eye for exquisite detail.
